ISHCMC-American Academy (ISHCMC-AA) is a leading American secondary school located in Ho Chi Minh City. We are a truly international academic institution that works to inspire and challenge every student in our care to achieve personal excellence in all areas of their lives.

The ISHCMC-AA student body is made up of xxx number of nationalities including …………  as well as Vietnamese, American and Japanese. Our curriculum and teaching practices have been established to provide every child with a real opportunity to access higher education at a university in this country or overseas.

Foundations for success are created with 100% English language immersion and a rigorous American accredited curriculum from age 11. We also offer an extensive Vietnamese Studies Program to ensure our students maintain their Mother Tongue and cultural roots. ISHCMC-AA is proud to be the only school in Vietnam to offer university-level courses through both Syracuse University Project Advance (SUPA) and Advanced Placement (AP), giving every child an unparalleled competitive advantage.

Our specialized international approach has created a culture of achievement in our close-knit community of over 300 students, success that is demonstrated in our graduates’ U.S. $1m scholarship fund to overseas universities.

ISHCMC-AA Faculty – a truly international team

At ISHCMC-AA our teaching staff, counsellors and administrators are a team of professionals who have joined the school from Vietnam and every other corner of the globe. Our head of school and leadership team originate from America but they have all studied, trained or worked in countries located in Asia and all continents of the world.

ISHCMC-AA teachers bring a similar international background to our school community – more than 70% of our teachers come from the US and Canada and are highly experienced in delivering the school’s full

American curriculum and 100% English learning environment. The diverse background of our teachers ensures that students are consistently introduced to unique skills and experiences, and presented with new cultural perspectives.

Quote …

“I always welcome the opportunity to showcase our wonderful school to prospective students and their families, and to the fellow education professionals who frequently visit to find out the secret of our success.”

Nathan Swenson – Head of School

Every year ISHCMC-AA is proud of the graduates that leave our doors to start their higher education in Vietnam or in a different nation overseas. The International university acceptances for our students for 2019-2020 included placements in America, Canada, UK, Australia and several countries in Europe and Asia.

We believe that every child that has studied in an ISHCMC-AA classroom, whether for just one semester or an entire school career, has contributed to the history of our school. Staying in touch with past students and Alumni is important to us and we are always delighted to receive news from them about their studies and new lives in different cities and towns across the globe.

Everyone who has walked the halls of ISHCMC–American Academy remains a valued member of our school community.
