As the only school in Ho Chi Minh City to offer the Advanced Placement (AP) Diploma pathway, ISHCMC-American Academy (ISHCMC-AA) proudly celebrates the impressive accomplishments of our Class of 2025 in this year’s AP exams. Opening Doors to Prestigious Universities
The end of the 2024–2025 academic year marks a new chapter for our graduating Sun Bears. As they leave high school behind, they step confidently into a world of opportunity and challenge.
Coinciding with ISHCMC-AA’s 20th anniversary, the release of this year’s AP results brings double the joy. A total of 159 AP exams were taken by 78 students, with over 80% achieving a passing score. These results have positioned our students to earn the AP Diploma and gain a competitive edge in applications to top universities in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and beyond.
AP Exam Highlights – Continuing the Sun Bear Legacy of Excellence
These results underscore our students’ academic ability, confidence, and determination to tackle college-level courses while still in high school:
- 34 perfect scores of 5
- 80%+ overall AP pass rate
- 54% scored 4 or 5 – qualifying to earn the U.S. college credit
- 100% pass in AP Seminar & Research
- 94% in AP Computer Science
- 8 students earned the brand new AP Diploma certification
We are especially proud of our Grade 10 students, who took the bold step of sitting university-level AP exams, well ahead of the traditional Grade 11 or 12 schedule. Their courage, resilience, and high performance have become a source of pride and inspiration across our community. These early achievements lay a strong foundation for even greater success in their academic journeys ahead.
Notably, the Class of 2025 also marked a historic milestone: our first-ever group of students earned the AP Diploma, joining a pioneering cohort of learners worldwide completing this innovative program. This proud achievement sets the tone for future ISHCMC-AA graduates to aim high and continue a tradition of academic excellence.
