At ISHCMC – American Academy (ISHCMC–AA), success is not only defined by the achievements of our students and teachers but also by the unwavering support of our parents. Our PTA (Parent-Teacher Association) represents the voice of all parents and serves as a bridge that strengthens connections between families and the school.
The ISHCMC–AA Parent-Teacher Association was established as part of the school’s mission to strengthen collaboration between home and school. It provides opportunities for parents to engage in meaningful conversation, exchange parenting knowledge, and better understand the educational journey of their children. By fostering this partnership, the PTA helps create an involved and connected parent community that supports every child’s success.
What the PTA Has Contributed
Throughout the school years, the PTA has been actively participating in bonding events that enhance engagement and strengthen relationships within the school – from Coffee Talks connecting school leaders and parents, staff appreciation gatherings on Vietnamese Teachers’ Day, and activities for students on traditional festivals like the Moon Festival and Tet.
Beyond the Sun Bear community, our PTA has also shown compassion for a wider community. Through fundraising initiatives such as donation drives and charity fairs, they’ve helped raise funds for essential causes – from building clean water wells to supporting families in need.
Our shared goal: Positive, Caring, & Engaged
By gathering in the large PTA community, parents can be more open to seeking parenting advice from each other and from the school. With the support of others in the community, every parent can support their child both physically and mentally, encouraging students to move forward with their developmental journey.

Stay Engaged through PTA Events
The spirit of collaboration continues to thrive as our PTA prepares for upcoming activities. In November, they will host an Art Workshop designed to explore creativity, engage with each other, and aim for the charity’s purpose.
