What is the AP Program?
Advanced Placement (AP) is a college-level program developed by the College Board. AP courses include a range of learning methodologies, such as collaborative tasks, discussions, presentations, and real-world applications. Learning is assessed through exams as well as projects and portfolios. As a result, students gain early exposure to university-level academic content and assessments, particularly through AP exams at the end of each year. Students who score 4 or higher may have the opportunity to earn college credit for the AP courses they have completed.
