What is Advanced Placement?

The Advanced Placement (AP) program allows high school students to take college-level courses. Developed by the College Board, AP offers 38+ rigorous courses across subjects like Mathematics, Sciences, Humanities, and Arts.

Students complete AP coursework throughout the year and take standardized exams in May. Scores range from 1-5, with most universities granting credit for scores of 4 or 5. AP is recognized globally as a benchmark of academic excellence and university readiness.

The AP Diploma is awarded to students who complete AP Seminar, AP Research, and four additional AP exams. The AP Diploma is a valuable addition to a student’s portfolio and seen by universities as a powerful indicator of a student’s motivation and potential for success at university.
